Dear CADRA members, visitors and guests.

Through discussion with the committee, we unfortunately have had to cancel the Race Ya Mates meeting on the 14th May, 2016.

We have had to cancel this event due to a lack of volunteers and support from CADRA members. The committee regrets this decision, however, without volunteers we unfortunately cannot prepare and maintain facilities to provide a safe environment for you to race.

Our next drag race meeting, CADRA Championship Points Round 3, will be held on the 22nd May, 2016.
We will also be holding a Supercharge Batteries Burnout Competition to compensate for the cancellation of the Race Ya Mates meeting. The committee encourages all racers that were anticipating entering the Race Ya Mates meeting, to attend the May 22nd meeting and all other events held at ASID to support your club.

Just a short note to advise that the Committee has rescheduled our final race meeting for 2015 from October 17th to SEPTEMBER 26th.

The meeting will still run as a day/night meeting with the final Burnout Competition and Round 4 of the CADRA points.

By holding the event three weeks after the Red CentreNATS , we're hopeful that a few more burnout cars will still be enthusiastic and it will also mean that the Committee will be able to make an earlier start on resurfacing the track and staging lanes to assist with bringing ASID up to international standards.

Motorsport in Central Australia and the Barkly will be zooming ahead with $4.45 million allocated for events and infrastructure upgrades at key facilities across the region in Budget 2015.

“The Red Centre is home to a huge community of motorsports enthusiasts and my Government wants to make it easier for them to access great facilities and fantastic events in their own backyard,” Chief Minister Adam Giles said.

“Motorsports fans have a lot to look forward to in Budget 2015 with a multi-million dollar package of sports infrastructure spending lined-up right across the Territory.”
