Jobs to be done:
  • Cleaning – tower, toilets, sign-in booth, canteen and bar area
  • Whipper snipping, weeding and general tidy up of grounds
  • Scraping the start line and cleaning the race track surface
If you have a spare shovel, rake or whipper snipper, please bring them along.
Drinks provided and Sausage sizzle afterwards.

The committee does realise this Sunday is Mother’s Day and some may be unable to attend, however any attendance will be greatly appreciated.

There will also be grudge racing and testing for non-street cars before, during and after street rounds.

Tech:
Street registered cars and bikes only for King of the Street.
All vehicles in the King of Street rounds must be MVR roadworthy.
Unregistered vehicles may be trailered in and out.
Closed exhausts, NO slicks - “dot” race tyres may be used.
All other classes are welcome to Test and Tune inbetween King of the Street brackets.
Drivers must have helmet, long sleeves, long trousers and closed in shoes.
Riders must have helmet, motorcycle jacket, gloves, long trousers and boots (no joggers or lace up shoes).

Drag Racing is a fast paced, adrenalin pumping assault on the senses. However, it can be extremely dangerous. To ensure that you are best protected against any mishaps, please ensure that you are dressed to the Minimum Standards below; Motor vehicles: require long trousers, long sleeve shirt or jacket, shoes and socks and an approved helmet relevant to the vehicle class. Motor cycles: require long pants, motorcycle jacket, gloves, boots and an approved helmet. Approved helmets (depending on the class of car) are listed in the ANDRA Rule Book. ASID/CADRA enforces all other ANDRA safety requirements, which can be found within the rule book (Link at top of Page)
Congratulations to Tobi Kundert and Jede Wood Brown for taking out the wins for our first King of the Street event. Tobi Kundert came through with the Quickest ET @ 12.516 and the Quickest RT @ 0.23 for the Street Car bracket. Tobi won the final, receiving the cash prize of $500 with thanks to Baney Electrical and Ray & Marion. Jede Wood Brown came through with wins as well, with the Quickest ET @ 11.187 and the Quickest RT @ 0.31 for the bike bracket. Jede also took out the win in the finals taking home the cash prize of $400, donated with thanks from Patrick Honan and Steve Ariston. Our runners up are Ray Baney in the Street Car bracket and Simon Brown in the Bike bracket. Great to see so many people out there on the hill supporting our competitors and ASID. The Central Australian Drag Racing Association AGM is to be held on Sunday 5th February 2017 in the Todd Tavern Hotel jam room. Membership dues will be accepted between 1.00pm and 2.20pm. The AGM will commence at 2.30pm sharp. As per our Constitution, nominations (as detailed below) will not be taken from the floor and pre-nominations must be in writing. These may be emailed to the Secretary no later than close of business on Friday 3rd February 2017 OR handed to the Secretary between 1.00pm and 2.20pm on the day. Late nominations will not be accepted. The order of business will be: (i) the audit: presentation and acceptance of; acceptance of the Auditor for the 2017 CADRA season; any questions regarding the audit from the floor; (ii) the election and voting of: Vice President; Treasurer; Public Officer; and committee members. Membership forms, pre-nomination forms, the proposed 2017 race calendar and the CADRA Constitution (2016) will be available on the day. All members past and present and any other interested persons are urged to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!
