Motor cycles: require long pants, motorcycle jacket, gloves, boots and an approved helmet. Approved helmets (depending on the class of car) are listed in the ANDRA Rule Book. This is to advise the date change for all competitors for the upcoming Alice Springs Titles drag race meet.
Due to some technical areas, admin could not update the website, we wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

The new race date has been moved to the 22nd October, 2016.
This date change was due to the upcoming events in Alice Springs as well as the Masters Games.

We hope to see you all out at the track on the 22nd October, for the CADRA Points Round #5 and to enjoy a great last meeting for the year!
If you've been to Alice Springs Inland Dragway (ASID) in the last few months, you may have noticed a few new and improved features such as; our resurfaced staging lanes and our newly resurfaced international standard track. The amount of work that has been accomplished and the amount still going on out at ASID is incredible.

We have just installed a new building which will replace the original Ticket Booth and will also be used as a food and drink stall and a merchandise stand, combining them all in one! This building will soon be completed with signage from our very important and supportive sponsors. The new building will provide spectators and patrons the ability to get a bite to eat, a drink or even some ASID merchadise without missing a single race! The original bar below the tower will still be in use, and is getting a fresh coat of paint.

The track prep has been underway for a long period now, and is due to be completed before Desert Nationals on the 16th-17th July. The Desert Nationals event, which is the biggest meeting to ever be held at the facility, will bring with it 11 Top Doorslammer's, a Nitro Funny Car, Junior Dragsters, Mod Bikes, Super Sedan and Supercharges Outlaws, just to name a few (Click HERE to see entries). These machines will be competing for points in the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Group One Championship, as well as exhibition passes by Matthew Abel in his Nitro Funny Car and includes Round 2 of the Summit Racing Equipipment Sportsman Championship.

In addition to the new building and the International standard track, spectators will be able to hear uninterupted commentary with brand new speakers installed and timing/score boards  being installed soon! Spectators will never miss a second of the action and will be up to date with what is happening on the track!

Keep your eyes on the CADRA website for more details of ASIDs renovations, upcoming Race Dates and full details for Desert Nationals (16th - 17th July).

Huge thanks to Malachi McMurtrie for the pictures and information from his Green Machine Racing page!
